Introduction

There are a number of ways companies can raise capital. One of the common methods and the one that Fresh clients can participate in is called a placement.

What is a placement?

A placement is a way for listed companies to raise equity capital via an offer of new shares to investors.

Who can participate in placements?

In accordance with the Corporations Act 2001, only Sophisticated, Professional or Experienced Investors can participate in placements at this time.

Why do companies raise via placements?

Placements have fewer disclosure and reporting requirements than other forms of equity capital raises. This means companies can complete a placement quickly - generally within days or weeks, rather than months.

If you have any questions about placements or anything else, you can reach our clients team at clients@freshequities.com.
